The FBD mechanical seal is a high-performance, single-end-face, unbalanced rotary seal designed specifically for rotating equipment such as pumps and agitators. Its precise end-face sealing structure achieves zero-leakage protection, while also possessing excellent floating compensation performance and anti-jamming capabilities. It is widely adaptable to oil, water, and general corrosive media conditions, serving as a core sealing guarantee for the stable operation of industrial fluid equipment.

Design Features

  • Internal suction and internal flow structure: Effectively reduces the risk of solid particles in the medium entering the sealing end face, improves anti-pollution capability, and extends seal life, especially suitable for wastewater and sewage media containing trace particles.
  • Single-sided, single-spring, unbalanced design: Compact structure, convenient installation and maintenance; the single spring provides stable end face pressure, can adapt to axial movement, and supports installation and operation in any direction.
  • Optimized stress on rubber bellows: The bellows does not bear tensile stress, significantly reducing the risk of fatigue damage, improving anti-aging performance, and extending seal service life.
  • Multifunctional integrated design: The rubber bellows directly drives the rotating ring, serving as both the main sealing element and the rotational driving force transmission mechanism, simplifying the structure while ensuring operational stability.
  • Specially adapted for wastewater scenarios: Optimized for sewage treatment conditions, it can withstand the erosion of impurities and weak acid/alkali media in sewage, reducing the risk of seal failure.

 

Main Material Composition

  • Sealing Surface: Graphite, silicon carbide (SiC), tungsten carbide (WC), hard alloy, etc., with different combinations to suit different media and working conditions, featuring low friction, high wear resistance, and corrosion resistance.
  • Bellows: Nitrile rubber (NBR), fluororubber (Viton), ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM), selectable according to media characteristics, suitable for water, oil, weak acid/weak alkali, and other media environments.
  • Metal Components: Stainless steel, possessing good corrosion resistance and structural strength, capable of long-term stable use under normal working conditions.

 

Applicable Media and Scenarios

  • Water-based Media: Cold water/hot water, circulating water, tap water, wastewater containing trace particles, municipal/domestic sewage, groundwater, etc.
  • Food and Beverage Media: Water, fruit juice, tea, beer, dairy products, syrup, food-grade low-concentration acidic/alkaline cleaning solutions, etc.
  • Acid and Alkali Media: Low-concentration sulfuric acid, other weak/dilute acids; low-concentration carbon dioxide solution, sodium carbonate solution, and other weak/dilute alkali solutions.
  • Suspension Media: Process suspensions containing trace solid particles, low-concentration suspensions, sludge suspensions, and other low-concentration suspension mixtures.
  • Other General Media: Diluents, vegetable oils, brine, diluted chemical solvents, HVAC circulating fluids, etc.
